Lithuanian citizens to travel to Thailand without a visa
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuanian has been informed by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand that from 14 April Lithuanian citizens travelling for tourism purpose will be able to enter Thailand for 30 days without a visa.
The visa exemption is the result of consistent efforts by Lithuanian diplomats serving in China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
The number of Lithuanians traveling to Thailand has increased over the past year. More than 13, 000 Lithuanian tourists visited Thailand in 2017, as compared to 2018, when more than 10, 000 Lithuanian tourists visited Thailand from January to July.
Thailand is the 123rd country to which the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania will be able to travel without a visa. According to the Passport Index, Lithuania ranks sixth on a list of the most powerful passports in the world in 2019.
