On 20 March in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis is attending the European Union’s Foreign Affairs Council to discuss Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, Tunisia and Iran and the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

On 10 March, at the invitation of the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis participated remotely in a meeting of the Group of Seven and other like-minded organisations (G7 +), which renewed their pledge to support Ukraine’s energy sector.

On 3 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis met with Ambassadors of the European Union countries residing in and accredited to Lithuania to discuss the most pressing EU foreign policy issues. Landsbergis stressed his support for the priorities of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU and the main aim of continuing comprehensive support for Ukraine, including on the path to European integration.

On 27 January, the Dispute Settlement Body of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) agreed to adjudication by a panel over China’s illegal economic restrictions on trade with Lithuania and the European Union at the request of the EU. Establishing a panel is the second step in the WTO’s dispute settlement process, which includes an assessment by three independent experts in trade law to determine whether the measures taken by a WTO member conform with the WTO law.

On 12 December in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will attend the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union (EU). The Council will exchange views on Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and Iran. Foreign ministers will discuss topical foreign policy issues, including the situation in Moldova, Kosovo, Tunisia, and Yemen. 

On 7 December, the European Commission announced that it had requested the establishment of a World Trade Organization panel for trade dispute with China concerning the legality of the trade restrictions that China had introduced against Lithuanian and EU exports. The EU underlined that China’s restrictions were in breach of the WTO rules.

Support for Ukraine, energy prices, European defence capabilities in the face of Russia's aggression, relations with the United Kingdom — these and other topical issues were discussed by the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Jovita Neliupšienė at the General Affairs Council in Brussels on 18 November.

On 14 November in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will attend Foreign Affairs Council, which will hold exchanges of views on the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the possible elements of a renewed EU approach to the Great Lakes region in Africa, and Western Balkans. Ministers will also discuss topical foreign policy issues: the latest developments in Iran and Lebanon, the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27), and the outcome of the meeting of ministers of foreign affairs from the EU and from the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in Buenos Aires.

On 26-27 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania together with the Public Investment Development Agency (VIPA) organised a visit to the Klaipėda State Seaport and Klaipėda Free Economic Zone of a delegation led by Joe Philipsz, Head of the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund at the Amber Infrastructure Group.

On 17 October in Luxembourg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis attended the Foreign Affairs Council, which exchanged views on Russia's aggression against Ukraine, ways to help the war-torn country, as well as held a discussion on relations between the EU and China.
