Ambassador presented Lithuanian investment environment in Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna

On the 6-7th of February, 2018, Ambassador of Lithuania Mr. Ričardas Šlepavičius met associated business structures and businessman of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. He presented competitive investment environment in Lithuanian industrial sector and potential of Lithuanian Life sciences.

During the meetings with Fondazione CRF, industrial confederations of Florence and Emilia Centro, CENTERGROSS and FICO EATALY World associations, the Ambassador gave an overview of Lithuanian engineering and Life sciences potential. The Ambassador also introduced a couple of upcoming international events in Lithuania: exhibition for Agriculture and Food industry AgroBalt2018 which will be held on the 24-26th of May, 2018 and Life Sciences Baltics conference on the 26-27th of September, 2018.

Discussing economic relations between Italy and Lithuania, the Ambassador emphasized that Lithuania could offer competitive conditions for Italian companies looking to expand foreign markets. ‘Particularly strong Italian manufacturing and Life sciences sectors are developing fast and at the moment are searching for new possibilities to grow. Lithuanian scientific community, education system and employees are competitive on the global scale and we could see many opportunities for mutual projects in the future’- said the ambassador.
